My role was to bring together the right resources internally and address the key technical challenges externally, using my process manufacturing experience and knowledge. I am proud to be part of a strong, enthusiastic and committed R&D formulation team and to actively promote our R&D mastery within the business.
I am a formulator for John Frieda® Hair Products. The most satisfying aspect of my work is being an integral member of a team creating beauty products that add value to consumers’ lives. Kao’s recognition as an industry leader separates it from other companies. Our approach to technological advancement has led to many innovations that have really shaped the landscape of consumer products. There is desire here to offer something new and exciting to consumers rather than replicating history.
My team worked on the development of shampoos, conditioners and masks for the Kerasilk premium launch. We wanted to unite great performance, premium appearance and consistencies. The project concerned the development of new systems while simplifying complex formulations. The system we developed was not convenient, so a new idea was born. The surprising outcome was built into the new Kerasilk line. Seeing our final products makes me proud that we could make the necessary changes to meet the product requirements.
